bpel:copy - cannot copy from a property 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
hi,

im trying to get some BPEL like the following, but I cant figure out how to make the designer generate it:

<bpel:copy>
<bpel:from variable="thisEventStartMessageRequest" property="this:name" />
<bpel:to>$thisEventIntermediateMessageResponse.body</bpel:to>
</bpel:copy>

is it possible to assign from a property on a variable, by just using the designer? if i edit my assign node in the data editor, i get this error:

Error [blocker]: An assignment must define its source.

it seems as though the editor doesnt like me defining attributes in the bpel:from tag. if i just have:

<bpel:from>

(with the closing >, then the error goes away).

anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
Thanks for the heads up, indeed this looks like a bug in the current version.
This will hopefully be fixed in next release.
Thanks
