can java application invoke the workflow?

how to invoke the workflow that i have built in the Intalio|BPMS Designer by the java apllications?

in practice project' process, we try to call the workflow via some UI that we costom. eg: some jsp pages or some processes we applicate in my project.

so i will find the ways how to use the application we built call workflow.

i learn som informations in the http://intalio.org

it is seem to use the Architecture TMS(Task Management Service ) in tempo project to start the process.
but i still not understand the invoke details.

anyone know about that. please tell me somethings about them.
