Concurrent development and source control of BPM 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi,

The I-designer is based on the Eclipse RCP so automatically has the CVS plugin. (guess others clear-case/ sub-version can be added)

But does I-designer provide for concurrent development of the BPM model in a team multiple Business analysts and maintaining version control.

Especially when it comes to developing a complex large BP.
Can it fragmented?
Each fragment devloped concurrently by a team of several business analysts.

I can compare BPM development to UML modelling. (My choice for UML modelling IBM's tool - RSA (rational software architect) supports concurrent development using "fragmentation" of the model. Each fragment can be developed, visually compared and stored seprately in a source version control.)

Anything similar available in I-designer?

Yes, you can develop different diagrams with different teams. When it comes to execution, you can reuse the WSDL of a diagram in a project in another project, but you have to be extra careful at not breaking anything.

Process reuse is currently in the works. More details when it's there.
