Does anybody know how to migrate version 4 processes into version 5??

I just don't know how to do it.

I included a file for testing purposes.

You can migrate version 4.x projects into version 5 using Designer 5.1. It is available in the downloads section.

Thanks,

Antoine

I'm sorry but its not working. When I take a working visable project n3x file in version 4 and save it and then try to open or import it into version 5 (designer) all I get is what looks like a binary listing. Do I have to save it in a special format or do some conversion prior to getting it into 5.2?

thanks

Import the project, then right-click on it and select Intalio|BPMS Designer Tools>Migrate project.

Opening the n3x file will not work, you have to run the migration at the project level.

Thanks,

Antoine

It appears that my installation of Designer 5.2.0.115 on windows does not have the Migrate tool that was mentioned. I did go back and reinstall 5.1 and I did find the tool and I did the migration. Got java exception error on each process file in the project. I guess it just blew up on converting. I am really disapointed in 5.x. I had assumed that it would be trivial to take running business process diagrams in version 3.x and bring them up in version 4.x and run them. Yep!! I did that and it works. Bringing them into 5.x is not working and I don't want to spend any more labor trying this fruitless exercise. I guess our organization will just stick with what works.

thanks...
