About CAS and Intalio CE 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi !

I've been using Intalio along with a lot of other cutting edge open source softwares like Liferay, Nuxeo, Alfresco and so on, for quite a long time now. I've been able to integrate (more or less easily) Liferay, Nuxeo and Alfresco to CAS without any problem right now. Then, and as I want to study a more global integration of the Liferay / Intalio / DMS platform with ESB systems, I'm now dealing with CAS and Intalio.

I'm using Intalio CE 5.2.0.050 (also tested with 5.2.1 CE and 5.1.x CE) which is deployed along Geronimo on a Debian Etch VE platform. Another VE has OpenLDAP and ESUP-CAS up and running. Those have been successfully tested with Liferay, Alfresco and Nuxeo authentication.

Intalio / LDAP integration is working without any problem thanks to your tutorials.

As it comes to Intalio/CAS, I've been following this wiki dealing with tempo ui-fw and CAS integration (http://www.intalio.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1834) but I failed to make it work. When I connect to ui-fw, I land on login.htm instead of being redirected to CAS server. In fact, no redirection is ever made and I can write whatever I want in the CAS section of the web.xml file, the server starts and runs as if I had not done anything. Even accessing to /CasProxyServlet drops me a 404 error.

Thus, here are my questions :

1) Is CAS authentication possible with Intalio CE ?
2) Are some elements missing to the default tempo bundle that make tempo miss CASRBACFilter or something else ?
3) If everything has to run properly between CAS and Intalio CE, what are the proper settings that must be done ? (in a non "localhost to localhost" environment which requires HTTPS and JDK trusted certificates which I have already configured properly)

The web.xml file from ui-fw is attached to this post. I can provide you with more details if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Patrick NERDEN.

Hi Patrick,

Trying to answer you as best as possible.

1) Is CAS authentication possible with Intalio CE ?
In short, no we don't support this. CAS integration is only planned for EE. The code itself is open sourced at tempo.intalio.org though.

2) Are some elements missing to the default tempo bundle that make tempo miss CASRBACFilter or something else ?
You need to have a specific web.xml file for ui-fw to recognize CAS filter.

3) If everything has to run properly between CAS and Intalio CE, what are the proper settings that must be done ? (in a non "localhost to localhost" environment which requires HTTPS and JDK trusted certificates which I have already configured properly)
The tempo blog has entries on how to set this up:

Best Regards,

Nicolas,
