Intalio, when installed the first time on this machine, worked. I tried the HelloWorld Sample, everything was fine. Then suddenly, I think it was during the PIPA tutorial, came the error window. Since then I the designer starts and immediately shuts down again becuase of the JVM that terminates.
Un- and reinstallation didn't solve the problem.

As for the log-files: I know I didn't attach the ".log" file but only "designer.log". As I wrote earlier, a ".log" file has not been created.

I will try and install eclipse from eclipse.org in order to find out if the problem persists. I will let you know what happened.

I just downloaded and installed eclipse from eclipse.org, started eclipse, and everything works fine. No problems, eclipse (or the JVM) doesn't terminate.

What shall I say ... strange, isn't it. So it seems that there is unfortunately a problem with Intalio designer. But what could that be???

It is very strange to hear from you that you're unable to start the designer, have you tried again installing the designer after eclipse installation?

As I am still struggling to reproduce this in my machine.

since I really don't have any idea on what's going on, I'll keep asking questions and I have a possible suggestion.

First, the questions:
- when reinstalling Intalio|BPMS Designer, are you installing a new directory, or the same one? Try a brand new directory
- when restarting designer.exe, are you reusing the same workspace, or are you creating a new one? Try creating a new one.

Second, since you have a working eclipse.exe, I suggest you try the procedure outline for Linux installation.

Lastly, if none of that works, I'd like to take a closer look at your installation. Please zip the installation directory plus your workspace and upload it to our serever (I'll send you the information separately).

I already tried everything when installing the designer again and again. Brand new directory, brand new working space. Nothing worked.

Unfortunately I´m actually at university and from this afternoon on I´m abroad for the next 4 days. When I´m back next Tuesday, I´ll try the procedure outline for the linux installation. Hope this works.

If not, I´ll send you my installation directory plus workspace.
