For beer lovers out there, here are a few suggestions:

1) You can catch some fresh, organic local brew within minutes of walk from the W Hotel at the Thirsty Bear Brewery.

2) A more famous San Francisco beer is Anchor Steam, which is a bit further away.

3) For German beer lovers, you can get a variety of them on tap at the Suppenküche.

Ahh, another topic near and dear to my heart.

You also have to throw in Gordon Biersch. I know it is not completely local (started out in the Valley) but the garlic fries make up for it. And the beer is not bad either.

But, if you want true SF yes Anchor Steam is it.

I heard something about they may not be using the old steam method any more. Anybody know for sure?
