Re:How can i go directly from one form to another 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi,
I have reviewed the store example and also the example that has been posted in this forum. However, there is something key that i have missed.

I have opened up the mapper and linked the taskId to previousTaskId. However, i have no idea how to set isChainedBefore equal to true.

Can someone please show me how to set values in the mapper that are not mapped from a source message??

Thank you,
Nick

I have attempted to deploy the process with 3 following forms:

1) initial
2) form2 (create/complete)
3) form3 (create/complete)

with isChainedBefore not set to true on form3 (because i dont know how to set it to true)

The result:

when i press complete on form 2 it simply goes to a blank screen. However, i can see a task in ready state and when i press it i can see form3.

The behavior i desire is that when i press complete on form 2 im simply presented with form 3. Will setting isChainedBefore=true create this desired behaviour?

Thank you in advance,
Nick

Guys,
No need to respond to this. I got it working using the Mapping pallete and renaming a value to "true". I also had to set isChainedAfter on the previous form to true...

Low and behold.. it works! my 3 forms are linking... Thank you for you help!!!

:) :) :) Nick

Hi,
I have a follow up question this.

I have been looking at the way form linking is done in intalio, and im wondering, can i just make a series of create/complete forms? It seems that all the examples that i have looked at have an initiating form and then create/complete forms.

Why cant i just create multiple create/complete forms? That would seem logical to me.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi NIck,

Yes you can do it with more create complete forms that link to each other.
Verify the store example sample under samples category it will help you to know how to link between two forms.

Thanks,
Ravinderjit.

The store example begins with an init form as opposed to a create complete form...
