Variable as url in xform 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I have a service that returns a url as a string.

I want to place this in an xform so that the user can click to go to the url. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks.

Yes, it is possible. You can map your string to the field representing the url link in the variable form.

Thanks,

Antoine

I have tried to map the url string to the link with the data mapper (it maps to a string element) but it doesn't seem to work.

I can make the url string appear in a text input box, but I can't get it to show on the xform as a link.

The link only seems to show the label text, and has a url attached of:

http://localhost:8080/xFormsManager/act

Should I edit the xform code directly, or can I set this information somewhere else?

Thanks,

Dan
